Dear Members of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²ÊͶע Community,

Congratulations to our students, staff and families who have all contributed to the success of our online learning program during Lockdown Number 5. Having acknowledged this, we are all glad, I am sure to be resuming normal classes back at school.

On Campus Classes Resume Tomorrow

Some key information for tomorrow:

• Wednesday is Day 3 on the timetable

• With regards to any upcoming incursions and excursions and school related events your child may be involved in, confirmation of arrangements will be coming from the School in due course

• Buses, café and Camp Australia will operate as usual, providing Before and Aftercare programs for families who require it.

Drop off and pick up Parents, carers are not to come on site unless essential

ELC arrangements will continue

Junior School parents and carers may continue with the current practice of entering the school grounds for pick up and drop off and must adhere to the following regulations: Remain outdoors and maintain social distancing at all times and provide a QR Code at Reception if you need to enter the school buildings

Secondary School students are to be dropped off and/or picked up along Kalinda Road or in the Sports Complex carpark

No secondary school student is to be dropped off or picked up along Foundation Drive

Buses will drop off and pick up in the same areas as before the period of offsite learning. Masks must be worn on buses

It will be critically important to avoid traffic congestion at the School at drop off and pick up times

Hygiene

Students are asked not to attend school if they are unwell, including having flu like symptoms. Parents and carers are to advise the School office of student absence

Hands are to be washed and sanitized regularly throughout the school day. (Sanitizer is in each classroom) Students will be asked to sanitise their hands before and after all classes

Students are not to shake hands, hug or high-five and must maintain personal proximity spacing whenever possible

Students do not have to have their temperature checked on arrival, however, they may have their temperatures checked at the Health Centre if they experience flu like symptoms or feel unwell during the school day

Staff will maintain personal proximity spacing protocols

Masks

Masks must be worn to, from and during the day at School by secondary school students, unless eating. Junior School students are not required to wear masks

Locker Areas

Students are asked to take a common sense approach and not crowd the locker area or other public spaces

Buildings, doors and windows

All buildings have had another enhanced clean and sanitising treatment

Wherever possible, windows will be open as well as main entry doors to buildings will be propped open

Similarly, internal doors will be unlocked and propped open for immediate entry

Libraries

The Resource Centres in the Junior and Secondary Schools are open

Yarra Cafe

Counter sales for Secondary School students, lunch orders encouraged

There will be an Entry door only and Exit door only

Teacher on duty to manage student movement

Uniform

Winter uniform is to be worn on resumption of onsite learning. Students are to wear correct school uniform, be personally well groomed and adhere to all requirements, including, jewellery, piercings, footwear, etc

Visitors

All essential visitors to the School must report to Main or Junior School reception where they will provide a QR code

Yarra takes the health of our students, staff and parents very seriously and these measures are designed to ensure where possible that the School remains a safe and healthy workplace. We are really looking forward to seeing our students tomorrow.
